Them Crooked Vultures

Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl’s new side project is one to pay attention to. Them Crooked Vultures is a new supergroup trio made up of musical heroes earning constant radio play. Grohl is back on the drums in this trio with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme singing and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones kicking it on the bass.

Them Crooked Vultures just released their self-titled debut album in November with “New Fang” (video below) as the first single. The album is a mix of Zeppelin-inspired riffs, Grohl beating on the drums like back in his Nirvana days, and eccentric “time signatures” that is the anchor and heart of Queens of the Stone Age. Check it out. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this one.

Kind of unfair when such big artists team up (ex. Monsters of Folk). They gain fans from all their respective projects even if the music isn't good (Them Crooked Vultures excluded).

It's also a lot of pressure though. W/ all their credentials they better not suck. Chicken Foot sucks.
